UPCOMING PANEL DISCUSSION TBA — Broward County, FL

Using AI Without Losing Your Mind

A panel discussion on the realities of using AI tools at work — the wins, the failures, and the parts nobody talks about. Real engineers. Real experiences. No vendor pitches.

01 — Voice & positioning

What we are. What we aren't.

The voice is dry, plainspoken, and a little nerdy — like a senior engineer who's seen things and isn't going to oversell them. Warm, not hype.

we are
  • + A community. Not a brand. Not a course. Not a Discord with 6,000 ghosts.
  • + Local. Rooted in South Florida — Miami, Fort Lauderdale, the Palm Beaches.
  • + Craft-focused. Talks about deleting code, not adopting it.
  • + Free to attend. Sponsors cover food. That's it.
  • + A safe place to be wrong. Half of every workshop is admitting what didn't work.
we are not
  • A recruiter funnel. If you came to scrape resumes, you'll be politely uninvited.
  • A vendor channel. We don't sell logo placement on a t-shirt. Sponsors get gratitude.
  • Hype-driven. The newest framework rarely makes it into a Refactor talk.
  • A bootcamp. We assume you've already shipped something you regret.
  • A networking event. Conversations happen. We don't engineer them.

Recruiters are welcome if they're honest about it. Vendors are welcome to attend, but not to pitch from the stage or corner people in the hallway. We mean it, and it's in the Code of Conduct.
